OOBLECK!!!

Wondering what the green goo was in your child's backpack last night? In Science, we have learned about the states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. After reading Bartholomew and the Oobleck, students observed the physical properties of our own OOBLECK and concluded what the state of its matter was. Did you know that some matter can have the properties of more than one state? Ask your child what they concluded and why!

Community Creations

While studying the importance of communities, our third graders read the story "Roxaboxen." Inspired by the creativity of the children in the story, our students developed their own "Community Creations." Their projects resembled places in our communities in which we live, work, and play.

Welcome!

Parents and third graders,

Welcome to OUR blog! I am thrilled to introduce a fun and exciting way to share the things we are learning, creating, and enjoying in our third grade classroom! I will be posting pictures and comments of our projects, activities, and various lessons throughout the school year. This website will also be used as an interactive learning tool for the students. You will be able to view your students interactions with one another, and with me. Parents will also be allowed to post positive comments of praise. For security purposes, we will not be using student names (only class numbers). I will also be screening all posts, which means they will appear on the blog after they have received approval for posting. This is done as a precautionary measure to insure internet safety for your children. If for some reason, you prefer your child's picture not be on the blog, please let me know and I will not include them in the postings. What a fabulous opportunity this will be for you to enjoy your child's third grade experience! Feel free to offer any ideas, comments, or concerns with me at my school email address: anthonka@friscoisd.org
