Parents,
Please read the question below and post your answer as a comment.
"As I was going to St. Ives,
I met a man with 7 wives.
Every wife had 7 sacks.
Every sack had 7 cats.
Every cat had 7 kittens.
Kittens, cats, sacks, and wives,
How many were going to St. Ives?"

Ordering Numbers On A Number Line
This week in Math, we have learned the importance of sequencing, or ordering numbers. We practiced placing numbers in order on a number line with self created numbers the students wrote on post-it notes. They had to find where their number belonged, and make the necessary changes to other numbers, to make sure all of their numbers were placed seqencially on the board. They enjoyed checking their classmates and themselves! When we were finished, everyone had placed their number at its correct point. Way to go, Mrs. Anthony's class! You have your MATH BRAINS ON!!!
